Chihuahua drooling excessively help?

I have a 9 month old long hair chihuahua. He's never drooled before, he's started drooling soo much that the fur under his mouth is drenched. I'm really worried he doesn't seem to be acting weak or dizzy or anything, so I'm discarding the possibility of him having ingested some ant poison that's laying around the house..I did notice that he munched a lot of paper today could he have maybe eaten too much paper and gotten sick? He seems to make coughing noises as if trying to cough something up...Is this an emergency that cant wait until tomorrow morning? I'm taking him to the vet in the morning right now everything here is closed...
