How can I convince my mom to let me date?

I am 13 and I really want a bf. My mom never told me I couldn't but she will joke around and say things like "You better not have a boyfriend." or " I know all those boys want to date you." and I have alway pretended I did not like boys and I would reply: "EWWW!" or "I don't want a BF/" So It's going to be awkward asking her. I don't know how to ask (Or convince) her to let me date. Any advice?
