Anyone read the "House of Night" book series by P.C. Cast and her daughter? Any good?

I just heard about it. I love Twilight, and I'm wondering if reading another vampire novel would make me mad. Feels kinda like betrayal to me. lol Is it any good? I really want another series I can follow. I get bored. Harry Potter is finished, and twilight is finished. If this isn't any good, does anyone have any suggestions? I have read: Harry Potter, twilight series, A series of unfortunate events. I even read the first two books of the Charlie Bone series (don't judge me) so any suggestions. I can read anything, as long as it has drama, angst, and prefereably a happy ending. lol I'm a sucker for a happy ending. I love vampires and the paranormal, but nothing TOO... ok so I don't remember the word... like about cults and stuff. I'm christian and I don't have a problem with a little pagen stuff but I don't wanna read a book that is JUST about pagen stuff. And nothing boring. I have a short attention span and two kids. Thanks.
